Chaos Rising

A couple of decades ago, as walls in Europe fell, one felt as if perhaps humanity was on a good path. There was a sense of the old restrictions falling away and the smell of opportunity was in the air. One felt as if the forces of chaos were momentarily in retreat and the forces of light began to move forward. People wanted their freedom, they were ready to embrace the new structures that were emerging and the ugly side of chaos – nationalism – was in retreat. Contrast that with today. Nationalism is rampant again seized upon by Politicians eager to point fingers at scapegoats like immigrants, Mexicans, Homosexuals and any other group perceived to be the villain and easy to blame. The UK wants out of the EU,

Self-Publishing Pop

I’m not sure why I write books. It’s certainly not for the money! I guess I just enjoy the challenge of creating something, floating it by people and seeing if I can make a success of it! To me, putting out books has something of the flavor of the pop industry in the 70’s – you put out a single and watch it chart – or not – hoping to be #1 on the hit parade for a week or two all the while knowing that you are only getting a small pittance for the record. It is simply fun. Especially when combined with things that interest you. You see, I enjoy strange stories of the paranormal, I am interested in the occult, magic and the nature of reality –

Thoughts On Death

With so many celebrities dying this last couple of weeks, I have been thinking about the subject of death. A theory that particularly caught my imagination was that of Anthony Peake who, using many lines of research, has a theory that we fall out of time at death. There is much more to his theory and those like it that are often picked up by the media that I won’t go into here. However, this thought intrigues me a lot. I have written about time quite often (for example, see this Bowie motivated post) and via meditation I have decided that time is simply a construct of the human mind to give some context to our experience of life. An aspect of ourselves is eternal or rather timeless. It operates

The Death of Idols

Idols are really symbols that have a deep meaning that is only understood personally. While an idol may have a life of its own, it’s not possible to be the idol or participate in its experience of life. David Bowie is one more idol of mine and countless others, that has left to move on somewhere else. Much will be written about him in the next few days. For me, he was a symbol of something that I chose from time to time, to give my attention to. He is a memory trigger of happy times, great people and incredible memories of my life. Whether that be driving to Cornwall listening to kooks with my then best friend Mike in my late teens, or feeling strong as I listened to

The Wounded Kings

This morning as I meditated I arrived at a startling conclusion. I have come to believe that we create our own reality via our thoughts and subconscious mind. I am the microcosm that reflects out a macrocosm and vice versa. Obviously, the external world is a co-created reality but nonetheless, I am the master of much of my own destiny and create a lot of that external reality. For some reason, my meditative thoughts were about the wounded King. The Fisher King of legend. In this legend, the Fisher King has a ‘thigh’ wound and this reflects in his Kingdom which becomes barren. The ‘thigh’ wound is really a wounded penis and the King is symbolically unable to balance polarities as a result of such a wound. This imbalance of

Thoughts on Higher Purpose

‘All is as it should be’ – Is it? Actually, it probably is. We tend to think of ourselves moving through time consciously making decisions that impact our future selves and the world around us. The more likely truth is that we are creatures of habit and subconscious desires and habits. We are unbalanced and our physical, emotional and mental bodies are unaligned or we are simply not in control. Free will? I have come to the conclusion that for the normal person, we probably have little or no free will. If time is a construct of the mind – and increasingly the evidence from all sides suggests that it is – then how can we have free will? More likely our entire life is already mapped and plotted and rather

Who wants To Live Forever?

A common theme when it comes to the lives of magicians and alchemists is that of finding the elixir of life and living forever. When I researched and wrote God’s Pretender’s, somewhere subliminally, I started seeing some patterns. Today, I have been reading a biography of the Compte de St. Germain and I glimpsed it yet again (BTW – He is covered in my book). Let’s look at some of the things we learn about these masters. The first thing is that they do not eat. The second is that they have some sort of tincture or elixir that appears to give them the ability to stay a certain age indefinitely. Let’s use a bit of logic and see what we can unravel. Firstly, life or consciousness is form of

Blue and Red Pills

There are a lot of people who simply are content to be. Given a choice, they’d take the blue pill and sleep. I was amazed last week to find out that a BBC journalist fits that category. He writes well actually. However, he writes BBC propaganda. Stories designed to scare, worry and manipulate. When challenged on this he makes those bland statements that he obviously believes such as calling me a climate change denier not worth wasting his breath on and then later, resorting to belittling and insulting comments such as he can see I am a mystic so was my degree in divination? Once he wound his way through those sort of comments I apparently bored him. Sad. That someone with an alternate viewpoint would bore him. I guess

Life’s Tipping Point and It’s Impact

How often do you think ahead, plan and look forward to things? How often do you find yourself reflecting back on the past? The reason I ask is because it struck me recently that there comes a time in life when looking back becomes more important than looking forwards. I now call this Life‘s Tipping Point. The idea began to formulate when I was writing How to Create Your Own Reality. I had read an article on experiments that suggested that aging is mostly in your head and it struck a chord with me and the idea that we create our own reality partially as a result of what we think and imagine. The article was fascinating in that it showed that memory or recall in older people could be

Murder by Social Media

Perhaps I am going to run the risk of getting the wrong side of the PC crowd with this one, but as I often say, someone has to say it. This last week, two news stories caught my attention because they were two sides of the same coin and in my opinion, both wrong. The first story is of the mountain climbers in Malaysia. OK, when in Rome and all that and tourists need to consider where they are and take responsibility for their actions and all of that – yes, I agree. But, good grief, how to get worked up over a non-event. Apparently, it was offensive to God that these people got naked for a photo. Really? Which God would that be then? The one that created them
