A Kiss

What I would give for a kiss A hug by a warm log fire Someone’s hand in mine To feel loved by a woman Who cares for me What I would give for summer Hand in hand on a beach Eyes staring into mine The warmth of her silken skin Loved and happy This loneliness is hard to bear Moment to moment I despair My heart is an empty shell And life a living hell What would I give for conversation Over a bottle of red wine Candle light flickering a while Casting light into the darkness That I now call life.

Words of Power

Just recently, someone called me a ‘denier’. I suddenly found myself thinking about the things we call people – the words that we use and how we use them. It struck me that these are words of power. Words like ‘sexist’, ‘racist’, denier’ and so on. They carry a weight and a magical intent that has been placed their by the intent of the many times those words have been used. The are in a way a sort of egregore ( an occult concept representing a “thoughtform” or “collective group mind”, an autonomous psychic entity made up of, and influencing, the thoughts of a group of people.) in a word. Let me return to the word ‘denier’ as in climate change denier. When someone uses this expression against you it

Dead Porn Stars and Facebook

I maintain a facebook account and if anyone wants to friend me, I am OK with that… I assume they read my books or somehow know me. Just recently though, I have been inundated with lots of friend requests from really sexy looking young women. As usual, I just said Ok and carried on. But these new friends appeared insistent upon talking to me. Well, I’m not averse to talking to nice looking young women – or anyone for that matter, so I chatted back. The first strange thing I noted was that each of these women seemed to have very bad luck. One told me she was raped and now has an 11-year son from that who she is raising by herself. Her mother died in childbirth and her

The Frog Prince

She grew up as a princess Spoiled through and through Graced by good looks and a photogenic face That took her far and wide Never needing to stand up for herself As rich men took her under wing Italy, Monte Carlo, and guilded palaces held her tall Moet and Cavier, Ferraris and five star Haute couture and the disco Paid the money that she saved The rich guys paid for her lifestyle And now it fades away like all things do The looks, the body, slowly fade She now has a home in Tuscany Where for now, she can relive The ghosts of her life But she is really alone And always will be For her heart does not know love Every time she found it She had reason to

Should I Podcast?

I have been wondering about doing a podcast for a while now – something creepy perhaps? What do you think? Something like this – a video I did a couple of years ago now. Podcasting may be a little easier than building the video so maybe I will give it a try. Meanwhile – pop over to My Haunted Life Too for a bunch more terrifying ghost stories….

Fire – A Music Video

I have made a few promotional videos – for books, songs and websites – but find they get little traction. I’m not sure why. Perhaps, I am just making boring videos? This one, I really quite like though as I used public stock materials and combined with my song – Fire. I like the result but very few people have seen it. Perhaps you might be inclined to take a look?

Responsibility

Recently, I wrote a song called Risky Business. actually, I’ve written a lot of songs but this one is one of may favorites. You can listen to it below… I’ve had a number of reactions to the lyrics however. I say that “you must blame yourself” in the song – which is about life in general. A couple of people queried this line and I thought I would respond. What this song is about is accepting personal responsibility. That’s a pretty unpopular idea these days as everyone more or less blames everything and everyone for their problems and rarely simply accepts that their life is their own responsibility. In my little book on creating reality, I said… As an esotericist, I have come to the conclusion that I am responsible
