Charade

It is just a charade A game deep within a game Hypnotic and beguiling Passing scenery that can be extremely charming All you have to do is chose to Dream a dream into reality But do take care with your sanity. A moving tapestry hung There before your very eyes Strength needed to recognize The strangely sordid lies The game is about creating And also creation sorting Determining what is true But beware because whatever you do It is only ever true for you Geburah is needed here Hold that sphere dear Mars like efficiency Sorts the thoughts Sorts the pictures While Gedulah smiles another Images moving from one pillar Across to the other It is just a charade A game deep within a game Imagine that

Murder by Social Media

Perhaps I am going to run the risk of getting the wrong side of the PC crowd with this one, but as I often say, someone has to say it. This last week, two news stories caught my attention because they were two sides of the same coin and in my opinion, both wrong. The first story is of the mountain climbers in Malaysia. OK, when in Rome and all that and tourists need to consider where they are and take responsibility for their actions and all of that – yes, I agree. But, good grief, how to get worked up over a non-event. Apparently, it was offensive to God that these people got naked for a photo. Really? Which God would that be then? The one that created them

All Ears

These days, I ask everyone if they have ever seen a ghost or had a strange experience. It’s been great for material for the My Haunted Life books. Everyone – and I mean even the most cynical people I know – has a story to tell. Some of them are terrifying and some just weird but everyone has a story. Since I write, I tell stories. I do it all of the time whether it’s a client white paper or a story in one of my books. I tell stories. Sometimes, I am so busy telling stories I forget to listen to other people’s stories. So, to go around asking people about their stories and hearing such a diverse collection of really scary and interesting stuff is an exercise in

Indiscriminate Fear

If you take a look at CNN’s front page today you would be forgiven for being afraid. I really begin to believe the constant creation of fear by the media is a ploy to some purpose though quite honestly, I am not sure what. Sorry, I am unafraid. Everything is as it should be. Of course, much of the CNN real estate is made over the an organization called ISIS. Frankly, I detest this name as it has little to do with the Goddess who is the real Isis. However, this group of a few thousand heart-deadened deadbeats whose ability to poll the depths of human depravity and cruelty appears to know no end, is exactly that – just a few thousand criminals, maniacs and psychopaths. In today’s high tech

A Dog’s Life

I know this is going to sound pretty strange but have you ever wondered how a dog sees the world? I was walking Rocky just now and plainly, his world is a smell-based environment. His reality is different to mine just because he has a better sense of smell and better hearing across a broader set of frequencies. I will go ahead and assume he doesn’t see as well as me but who knows? It could be that he sees a different spectrum too. That might explain how dogs sometimes bark at things we do not see. When Rocky looks down our street, he sees something very different to me. I imagine he has perhaps black and white vision superimposed with a smell-map and colored by sound. Who knows what his

To be a Fool

If I were God I think I would be devastated by the acts of humanity. But maybe thats the wrong way to think about things? Maybe I would look upon my creation with a parents’ love and understanding and perhaps I would see the good things rather than the bad? Perhaps I would chose to look upon the little acts of kindness, the attempts to understand another’s point of view and the innocence and wonderful imagination of children and marvel that such kindness, such beauty could exist at all. Perhaps I would puzzle over why people seem so deeply burdened when in fact they have life, choice and freedom of expression. Perhaps I would understand that sometimes it is difficult to see the light in the darkness if you have

Am I Alone?

I must confess that I often wonder if I am in fact alone. I mean, are any of YOU actually REAL? Much more likely, you are all figments of my furtive imagination. Think about it. The only thing that can really be real to us are our own experiences. Those experiences are second hand since if I touch you, it is in fact something in my brain that interprets what that touch should feel like and hell, what is ‘feeling’ anyway? Its something in my consciousness and in my brain and nothing to do with the atoms and molecules of my hand brushing against the atoms and molecules of you. Our entire experience of OUT THERE is ….. INSIDE OF US. You do not exist people I know it. I

Ice Symbols

Finally we have some snow here in Prague. As I look out of the window today of the room that serves for my office, it is that beautiful grey sky, leaden with intent, snowflakes falling gently and undisturbed whiteness everywhere. I love such days. Its forecast to be this way for a few days too so maybe we will get some sledging in before it all melts. Snow is marvelous if you think about. Unique crystals of the stuff that show the miracle of creation in every flake. A warm blanket of cold stuff for Mother Earth. Initially perfect in every way. I say initially because it melts eventually turning into freezing cold puddles of brownish mess. Before it melts, it gets hardened and compacted and covered with yellowish patches

The Subtle and The Gross

For all that meets the bodily sense I deem Symbolical, one might alphabet For infant minds: and we in this low world Placed with our backs to bright Reality, That we may learn with young unwounded ken The substance from the shadow. (The Destiny of Nations – Coleridge) I am finding The Zelator by Mark Hedsel a fascinating read. I have, in fact, read it at least twice before and it was one of those books that discovered me many years ago. I recall being in Toronto on a business trip and having a couple of hours to kill. I found a cheap bookstore somewhere in town and there was a pile of books called The Zelator. I picked one up and was sold in an instant. Hedsel discusses at
