Just words?

There is the saying ‘Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me’. It’s wrong. I heard a variation on the theme just recently where I was told that someone thought that words don’t have consequences, only actions. That’s wrong too. Words are sounds. Sounds are vibrations. Sounds are waves that when they hit the eardrum of a conscious observer turn into sound and are interpreted by the brain. Sounds are a part of the fabric of creation. Not for nothing does the Bible say ‘In the beginning was the Word’ or insinuate that the first words spoken were “Let there be light.’ Kabbalah, the form of it practiced by people like Franz Bardon anyway, is the use of sacred sounds to create, to make magic.

Visualizing the Future

A few weeks ago I wrote an article about a new way to pray in which I highlight a youtube video that says the way to pray isn’t to ask for something but to imagine you already have it. Then yesterday, I came across this article that talks about using the power of imagination to rehearse an outcome. Apparently, it is used particularly by sports people. Magic, is creeping into everything these days it seems. Yes, this is magic – the old wicked, evil occult stuff…… The basis of magic is to empower and enflame the imagination to visualize something that we would like to see happen in our reality. We do this by using symbols that focus our imaginings on what it is we want. We can use a

The Answer is One

In the book “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, the answer to the ultimate question of life, the Universe and Everything is 42. Actually, the book, though marvelous entertainment, is wrong – the answer is ONE. There is only one thing and it is everything. Yes, I know you think that you and I are different people – some of you likely hope that you are different people to me anyway! But, while your ego thinks you are the truth is we are ONE. What drugs have I been smoking? I hear you legitimately ask? None. I have been meditating. In fact, I have been meditating for a decade or so. And I can tell you with absolute certainty that everything, from the ant you squished laying in the sun

Wakey Wakey People….

Back in 2005, I wrote and published a book called Inner Journeys: Explorations of the Soul (Thoth) about my own personal spiritual journey. Although a personal tale, some of the thoughts were that all is one and that we are all expressions of the same Divine form – we have just forgotten this. I also discussed reality and how we create our reality, how time and space are fabrications of the human mind and how meditation is the key to self-discovery. Several books that I have read recently for one reason or another echo my own individual journey. I just finished Believe and its True by Deborah Lloyd. Deborah Lloyd tells the story through a series of chapters that track her life and the lessons that she has learned from

Over Population

A couple of years ago I worked for an industry analyst firm CommodityPoint (I now do the same job but for my own firm in partnership with Patrick Reames – Commodity Technology Advisory). I had worked as an analyst in commodities for about 7-years and during that time written many CommodityPoint newsletters known as IssueAlert. CommodityPoint was folded at the end of 2011 by its owners and the websites no longer exist – neither then do the vast majority of those articles unfortunately. However, after 20-minutes of research this morning I managed to find one from 2011 that I believe was fundamentally important. I reproduce it here to ensure it’s survival. The Beginning of the Beginning of the End by Dr. Gary M. Vasey, 14th July, 2011 I’m not one

Suddenly, Everyone’s an Expert

Have you noticed how, these days, everyone is an expert about everything? Its social media that has done this I think. Stories are floated around woefully lacking in any truth, substance or reality and people read them as if they were gospel. Many feel compelled to benefit us with their encyclopedic knowledge on the subject matter and quite honestly the result makes me laugh at its stupidity … except it doesn’t because people simply can’t tell fact from fiction, truth from lies and they do not know who or what to believe. It is sad and it is dangerous. There is an old movie starring Peter Cook. He works his way up from nowhere to be PM of Britain and, using a combination of theatre and by allowing everyone to

Seeking Neverland

As a young child I think I was quite innocent. Perhaps I was a tad over protected by my parents or perhaps I was just built that way. To be honest I do not know. I do know though that I had (and to some degree still do have) an imagination. My imagination was such that I drew other children in to my fantasy land and when I left it even momentarily, they stopped playing there. It was as if I were the catalyst for whatever fantasy we built. It was I that built layer upon layer of substance out of sticks, dustbins, stones and such. I would often delay having to go to the bathroom simply because I knew that on my return, the fantasy would be lost, gone,

So what am I Then?

Reality leaves a lot to the imagination. ~John Lennon So what am I then? Just a bunch of atoms Whirling and swirling around I am mostly space if the truth be known unwound Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is opinion. ~Democritus What animates me? Am I like virtual reality Imagineered like Disney For fun Or something much more Returning to the place it Began Few people have the imagination for reality. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe What is it I see? Moreover, how do I feel Is it just electrons Being Is it all just material Physically constrained Seeing? Did you ever wonder if the person in the puddle is real, and you’re just a reflection of him? ~Calvin and Hobbes Are we connected? All things are

Come On Americans!

OK. This is gonna be a self-serving article. Apologies and all of that. However, I am wondering why The Last Observer isn’t selling as well in the US as elsewhere….. Having lived most of my adult life in the USA I am a tad disappointed and dismayed by this. Come on you Americans….. where are you? Step up and take a look at The Last Observer. Here is what one American reviewer says…. “To the seekers of hidden knowledge everywhere, the way is long and hard. Don’t cut corners!” from the book The foreword, by Anthony Peake, begins with the statement that for centuries there has been a secret, occult tradition that developed in a parallel fashion with science. Identical in form in the beginning, their approach to reality included

Poetry…

I have three books of poetry in print. This is their story…. I began writing poems when I was a boy. It was an outlet. A few years ago, I found a huge pile of handwritten poems that I had written dating back to 1974 and, trust me, some were just downright embarrassing! Some, however, weren’t all that bad. I put these in a pile and typed them into MS WORD for better keeping and put them all in my poetry directory on my PC. I had about 50 poems there so I once again selected what I thought were some of the best and made them into a book. It was self-published off course but it was a nice little book of poems called Weird Tales: Other World Poetry
