The Power of Imagination (from Weird Tales)

A fall into the ocean A swim across the sea Vivid imagination Scheming silently But can’t you see it? Can’t you see it? Can’t you see it too? A flight into space An atomic spark Particle to particle Like a walk in the park But can’t you see it? Can’t you see it? Can’t you see it too? Imagination Imagination Just deprivation Sleep deprivation A word is forming Some translation Form and meaning of Imagination From Weird Tales (Booksurge, 2006) likeheartlaughterwowsadangry0

The Eagle’s Saga

Soaring up high Flying oblivious Eros aims and let’s fl y The arrow finds its mark Straight through my heart Dying, I fall In pain and in shock Why me and why now? How much does my red blood run Falling away from the light of the sun Perhaps better To die falling from glory Discovering I am yet a fool Than betray myself to fate Hurting kin and life mate What can I say? One who thought love Would never again Deem to show me a glimpse Of her beautiful face The smell of her skin The feel of her touch The lilt of her voice The look in her eyes What is between us? The vengeful fates cackle While spinning their eternal web Objective achieved The plot in

Poetry…

I have three books of poetry in print. This is their story…. I began writing poems when I was a boy. It was an outlet. A few years ago, I found a huge pile of handwritten poems that I had written dating back to 1974 and, trust me, some were just downright embarrassing! Some, however, weren’t all that bad. I put these in a pile and typed them into MS WORD for better keeping and put them all in my poetry directory on my PC. I had about 50 poems there so I once again selected what I thought were some of the best and made them into a book. It was self-published off course but it was a nice little book of poems called Weird Tales: Other World Poetry

One Night’s Dream (from Weird Tales: Otherworld Poetry)

It’s tempting to look out Of the window sometimes To see the light once again The painted sill comes nearer The potential thrill of the view The glass is frosted And outside it is cold Reminds me of cities of old The vision is blurred and Indescribable Yet real, real The Sun is shining Just a globe in the North Still, it’s tempting to look The sky looks good In shades of pink and gold Taking another sniff Of my personal tube of glue It rains and night moves on Into something more eerie The eyes of the night Catch yours And the Man in the Moon Talks for a while Of all he saw before you But none since the last Has yet learned the thrill Of the planet

Weird Tales – an Amazon Error

I discovered about a year ago that the listing for the Kindle version of Weird Tales had a typo on the authors name… it is listed under Dr. G. Micahel Vasey. Its a bit of a blow really because it means it doesn’t show up at all with the softcover book and so people don’t even know there is a Kindle version! Yes, I have told amazon multiple times about the mistake but have never heard a word back nor has it ever been changed. Nice eh? Well, at less than $2 for the Kindle book, it’s not bad value and can be loaned as part of the Amazon lending scheme for Kindle for zero dollars! If you might be interested, you can find it here…. Writing

I love to write. I always have. For many years I wrote songs and poetry. Playing the guitar, many of these were also set to music… I have a couple of songs that I think are quite good the rest, well, I had fun. Some of those songs and poems are in Weird Tales others are in a huge file of yellowing papers many dating back to 1973. In my professional career, I have also written many many articles and three books. I also have chapters in three other books. All on energy and commodities. One of the articles was even quoted by the US Congress report into the impact of speculators in commodity markets…. However, it was Inner Journeys that I think marked my first real effort at writing
