Tomorrow will see the release of My Haunted Life Too, the follow up to My Haunted Life. It will be available to start only on Kindle either for purchase or loan. Interestingly enough, I will be traveling so I post this today. My Haunted Life is a collection of true stories of the paranormal – ghosts, the bizarre, demons, nature spirits and much, much more. They are events that I experienced or things that people around me experienced. You may find the book creepy but you will certainly be left with some questions and made to think a bit about the nature of the world in which we live. The Chess Piece (From My Haunted Life Too)

A friend of mine once told me this story on a Halloween many years ago. It chilled me to the bone. Whether it is true or not, I am not sure, although he swore on his mother’s grave that it was. In the late 1970s, the central cemetery in west Hull was a real eyesore. It was overrun with trees, bushes and weeds, and it was used as a place for all sorts of illicit activities. Most people gave it a very wide berth indeed. Many of the graves in the cemetery are Victorian, and they are grandiose monstrosities of a bygone era. It is a pretty damned creepy place in fact. These days, the whole area has been cleaned up, tidied and is actually worthy of a visit. However,

My Haunted Life – Paperback

My Haunted Life – my new book is now available in paperback format as well as Kindle. My childhood was a strange one. One of my first memories is of a little, blue man who emerged out of a mirror in my bedroom, shot me with a toy gun and then jumped out of the window into the backyard below. You might perhaps think that I imagined it, except for the fact that my parents actually heard the gunshot! This book is a collection of events that happened to me. All are strange and all are true. When people say that “fact is stranger than fiction”– they weren’t joking. It is a compendium of stories that really happened to me and those around me; some are creepy and others just

I will post a new strange true story each day so don’t miss them… A friend of mine once told me this story on Halloween many years ago. It chilled me to the bone. Haunted Paintings

Here is a short scary story from the My Haunted Life books…. In fact, paintings sometimes feature strongly in paranormal activity. I will give two additional examples to prove my point. The first is a story that my father told me a couple of times about his childhood. His mother was a bonafide medium, and he grew up with strange goings on just as I did. In fact, this is why he was sympathetic to my dilemma. Apparently, he and his family had once temporarily lived in a flat on the top floor of a three-story building. On the day that they were moving out, he recalled watching the comings and goings of people moving furniture and belongings. Eventually, all was complete, and he and his mother stood outside of

Is Anyone Listening?

For the last 20-years or so I have been more than involved in marketing. From being VP of Marketing for a software company in the late 1990’s to being an analyst and consultant well known for delivering insightful Go to market strategies and marketing programs, marketing is in my blood. Through those decades a lot has changed about marketing though. Back in the 1990’s there was no such thing as social media. It was all about print ads, mailing campaigns and trade shows. You got the sense as well that most people were marketed to and a few did the actual marketing. We studied our audience and potential audience – their habits and needs – and then put in place some tactics and messages to promote the brand/product/service to that
