Words

Heavily scented paragraphs Interlaced with passion Pale luminescent skin Shining under full moonlight Radiantly twitching Beguiling, bewitching Mouthed words of silence Hallowed places Boiling emotions scattered Floating raggedly by An endless chastened sigh Belonging yet constantly longing Heat dashed vibrant thighs Senses on the edge of darkness Entwined they simply lie In one soul searching cry Poem from Astral Messages If you enjoy my poetry please consider sharing it and/or purchasing some of it. Poetry…

I have three books of poetry in print. This is their story…. I began writing poems when I was a boy. It was an outlet. A few years ago, I found a huge pile of handwritten poems that I had written dating back to 1974 and, trust me, some were just downright embarrassing! Some, however, weren’t all that bad. I put these in a pile and typed them into MS WORD for better keeping and put them all in my poetry directory on my PC. I had about 50 poems there so I once again selected what I thought were some of the best and made them into a book. It was self-published off course but it was a nice little book of poems called Weird Tales: Other World Poetry

Drifting

Drifting No anchor attached Drifting Sinking Foundations of sand Chained thoughts became prisons Drifting Going with the flow Feel no center to my soul I am detached and Drifting Floating Terrified Cause I no longer have the illusion Of control Exhausted From the struggle Emptied Of energies Drifting Back home From my second book of poems – Poems for the Little Room – Lulu, 2012

Astral Messages Now Available

Sometime today, my 10th book will be available via the Amazon sites both in Paperback and in Kindle formats. Astral Messages is a collection of poems and short articles from my blog Asteroth’s Domain organized in such a way that each poem matches and supports each article. The subtitle of the book – is the poetry and thoughts of a troubled mind….. I think astral Messages contains some of my better poetry and by linking up the poems with articles such as The Art of Dreaming, The Measurement Problem and Relationships as a Mirror to your Soul,it may make you think and probably provide some things on which to meditate. Later today, the Kindle version will be available on Amazon and later this week the paperback. For now, it can

Writing Projects

While still hoping that The Last Observer will find its own audience and take off a bit (two more great reviews today!), I am still quiet excited about my next book – Astral Messages. Since Astral Messages is a mix of poetry and blog articles I have gone the self publishing route using the Amazon publisher. Poetry doesn’t sell much and I think this book will be more one for the connoisseur than Joe Public. What I like though is that I was able to combine a poem with an article from Asteroth’s Domain in such a way that one supported the other. These truly are messages from the astral so I think its a great title. I am now waiting for the proof copy. It should be winging its

It’s All About The Money

It’s been a long day I listened to the Stones But they got nothing to say All this talk of Syria Whose side are you on anyway? No truth there it’s all lies Obama wants to have his war Most folk think – bad idea Not what we voted for It’s all about the money And a corrupt and rotten core To the body politic Million dollar bombs rain Have to be replenished Are you fucking insane? What about health or education? Nothing but greed and gain For the rich just get richer Too quick to pull the trigger Too slow to care back home Problems just getting bigger Unsolved, unowned, ignore at your peril Poor Obama just can’t figure How he got to here

Astral Messages

Deep and deeper into the fiery depths Down and down ‘neath the cooling stillness Where obscured symbols serve for words And standing stones encircle scented voids Ancient primordial creatures stir And other strange images form down there Midst blue and emerald mind mists And the elemental mysteries of inner Earth Where fires’ flames lick and dance And the shimmering air swirls entranced Crystalline waters trapped as precious opals Sublime and regal royals enthroned Through all eternity as cold and darkened stones Images move and rise and fall Emerging, emerging and then not at all Half-formed figures born floating linger Whispers and soundless sounds as tinder To spark and fuel those inner flames Astral messages calling ancient names Billowing, enduring truths exclaimed

Matrix

People come in types They all look the same Patterns swirl within larger patterns A glitch is hard to see Unless you watch so carefully Isn’t this like a movie? interactive action Repelling and then so much attraction A video game, but one that stars me? Do you think I paid to take this ride? To do stuff or maybe hide out For a rainy day or two From that otherworld – the dream I dream Which is real. Which not. A real mystery Am I just a distraction for the other me The one that’s more real than real? The Godlike creator, player, actor That struts his stuff on this matrix’d stage Do you think I really have history? Or am I just living for a day Programmed context

One Night’s Dream (from Weird Tales: Otherworld Poetry)

It’s tempting to look out Of the window sometimes To see the light once again The painted sill comes nearer The potential thrill of the view The glass is frosted And outside it is cold Reminds me of cities of old The vision is blurred and Indescribable Yet real, real The Sun is shining Just a globe in the North Still, it’s tempting to look The sky looks good In shades of pink and gold Taking another sniff Of my personal tube of glue It rains and night moves on Into something more eerie The eyes of the night Catch yours And the Man in the Moon Talks for a while Of all he saw before you But none since the last Has yet learned the thrill Of the planet

Why is Life so Dirty?

Filth and dirt A constant bloody mess Pots and clothes pile up Why is life so messy? Dust and dog hairs And even worse awaits us A microbe infested sea Why is life so dirty? Grime and grease Smelly, slimy rot Puddles of stinky pee Why is life so grimey? Plastic gloves and plastic bags Mops and buckets too Why is life so slimey? We are dirt A bag of shit and piss bile, spittle and worse And life is simply dirty!
