All at Sea

See, I have this dream We are all at sea Wet, cold bloody misery Massive waves throw us From side-to-side It’s simply a hellish ride But when the Sun shines We can dry out on the deck Singing what the heck Cos it’s a fine old day Sailing through our allotted time Seeking meaning or sign What a wonderful ride Following a golden sunbeam Tumbling through life’s dream If you enjoy my poems you may like to purchase one of my three books of poetry?

The Journey Home

Did you think there was no coming back Did you think I was digging my own hole Eyes seeking eyes lips seeking lips Anger rises and with words on the attack Come on surely you didn’t think… But of course you did, didn’t you It’s raining memories now as I understand My dreams and my thoughts just made that link Insane, it’s just another bloody mess Life is like that when we truly do learn Hanging upside down to see you right Is there something you’d like to confess? Hand in hand, walking through stills Pictured the way the lens remembered you It’s a slog, a long climb towards the Sun A life rich in bumps, holes and hilly hills Drenched in salty sweat and tears Life goes on and

Just Words

If I am honest I would say at times I wonder why I write anything at all. I sometimes feel like there isn’t much point as I really don’t have an avid fan base or readership to talk of. I often feel as if my words go unread. Despite that I keep writing. I guess that there are a number of reasons why including the hope that one of these days one of my books will sell a few copies, because I enjoy writing whether or not I am very good at it and I have things to say. I think those are all good reasons. As I have said before, its a competitive business writing. I am comfortably in the majority when I say nobody reads what I write.

New Version of Poems for the Little Room

I published my second book of poetry a couple of years ago and for some reason chose to do so on Lulu.com. The problem with that was it was a very expensive finished product and there was no way to make a Kindle version. Late last year, I used Amazon to publish Astral Messages – my third book or poetry – and it was so easy….. This made me think. Why not re-do Poems for the Little Room on Amazon? So – very shortly, a new version of Poems for the Little Room will be available in paperback and Kindle formats from the Amazon sites. It will still be a tad pricey because its full color but nothing like the price on Lulu.com… My three books of poetry – Astral

The Power of Imagination (from Weird Tales)

A fall into the ocean A swim across the sea Vivid imagination Scheming silently But can’t you see it? Can’t you see it? Can’t you see it too? A flight into space An atomic spark Particle to particle Like a walk in the park But can’t you see it? Can’t you see it? Can’t you see it too? Imagination Imagination Just deprivation Sleep deprivation A word is forming Some translation Form and meaning of Imagination From Weird Tales (Booksurge, 2006)

Three Ideas For Christmas

Here are three of my books that are inexpensive and would make a nice stocking filler……. Available on Amazon or directly from me. Astral Messages: Poetry from Beyond, Createspace, 2013 Astral Messages is my third book of poetry. It uses poems and blog articles from – Asteroth’s Domain – in a poetic discussion about reality and magic. From the opening ethereal beauty of “Astral Messages” to the humor of the questioning about “Why is life so dirty”, this is a collection of 17 new poems. Each is coupled with a short article to strengthen and bolster the points being made. At the end of the day, we are all magicians willfully creating our realities and Astral Messages demonstrates how this touches all aspects of our lives – yes, even our

So what am I Then?

Reality leaves a lot to the imagination. ~John Lennon So what am I then? Just a bunch of atoms Whirling and swirling around I am mostly space if the truth be known unwound Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is opinion. ~Democritus What animates me? Am I like virtual reality Imagineered like Disney For fun Or something much more Returning to the place it Began Few people have the imagination for reality. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe What is it I see? Moreover, how do I feel Is it just electrons Being Is it all just material Physically constrained Seeing? Did you ever wonder if the person in the puddle is real, and you’re just a reflection of him? ~Calvin and Hobbes Are we connected? All things are

The Eagle’s Saga

Soaring up high Flying oblivious Eros aims and let’s fl y The arrow finds its mark Straight through my heart Dying, I fall In pain and in shock Why me and why now? How much does my red blood run Falling away from the light of the sun Perhaps better To die falling from glory Discovering I am yet a fool Than betray myself to fate Hurting kin and life mate What can I say? One who thought love Would never again Deem to show me a glimpse Of her beautiful face The smell of her skin The feel of her touch The lilt of her voice The look in her eyes What is between us? The vengeful fates cackle While spinning their eternal web Objective achieved The plot in

Man in the Sky

Imagine a Man in the sky Sitting all alone, poor guy Thought he’d had a bit of fun Play a game and then be done He imagined so very, very hard Opened his eyes and sighed Seeing the beauty of it all Better than being so fucking bored Now I will be the one and only Lord Mini me’s to worship me And proclaim my divinity They strut upon my stage Hoping to avoid my rage When they turn their back on me Look at how they multiply Many are born and fewer die They deny that I exist at all Chasing money and having a ball I grow weary of watching and waiting Find them so bloody aggravating It’s Time to play another game
