A common theme when it comes to the lives of magicians and alchemists is that of finding the elixir of life and living forever. When I researched and wrote God’s Pretender’s, somewhere subliminally, I started seeing some patterns. I got a comment last night on one of my posts. It told me to go back to studying the Bible in so many words and that eternal life was a gift given only to those who repented etc. etc. How sad. I was raised a christian and to all intents and purposes I probably still am more Christ-centric than anything else. I am sympathetic to christianity. One of my favorite books is Comte De Gabalis. I was introduced to it by Gary L. Stewart, founder of the CRC who simply suggested that I should read it. That was several years ago and I continue to read and re-read this book. Do I understand it? Nope. I get glimpses from it and it makes me think a lot but I just keep reading it and reading it. What I would really like to do I suppose is start a bit of a discussion about this book and its meaning. So if anyone out there reads this – chip in please….. If you haven’t read it then consider picking up a copy of it and then having a bit of a discussion perhaps?
