Chasing the Shaman – A New Book
Sometimes, things just come together. In the last week, I had an idea for a book. I wanted to write about magic like Sue Vincent and Stuart France or perhaps Alan Richardson does but in my own style. As some of you may know, I have been on the trail of a shaman here in Brno and it struck me that his activity – in my reality – was a piece of a chain of events that were truly magical and worth writing about. I assembled the book from various blog posts, correspondences with Sue Vincent, poems and of course a lot of new content and what emerged surprised even me. Back in late 2005, I got Inner Journeys: Explorations of the Soul published and it told the story of

There are people who do something once and bang…. they find fame, fortune and success of that type. There are others who work diligently yet never gain any recognition. I have often wondered what drives this? What is the secret to finding commercial success? Yes, I wouldn’t mind a bit of it as I approach my retirement years. Actually, I have a had a lot of career success but a couple of major failed relationships have left me with very little and so, from time to time, I wish one of my hobbies might take off a bit and provide me with more income. But what is success? I tend to think of success initially in materialistic terms. It made me money, gained me some fame or notoriety and so

When I put out poetry books, I don’t actually expect to sell any. I think I have sold around 10 copies total since 2007 when my first poetry was published of the 6 or so collections I have put out! No, I publish and then buy a few author copies to give away as gifts…. Today, I checked my sales on Amazon for the last few days and to my utter amazement, I have sold 2 – yes TWO kindle copies of my most recent collection. What on earth is happening???? I have yet to order my paperbacks – thought I would wait until after the holidays you see…. Anyway, the volume – Reflections on Life – is available in paperback and Kindle formats……

Over the last couple of years, I bashed out a good deal more poetry and verse and, as I am apt to do, I bundled it up in a new short volume of poems called Reflections On Life. I don’t really know why I bother a poetry barely sells but you never know who one of these slim volumes may find. I also used a small number of my own photographs for the cover and inside on the theme of reflections to round it out a bit. It is already available in Kindle format and will soon be also out in paperback form as well.

I ave not yet figured out how to promote my books – they just seem to sell themselves in the end and nothing much I do influences when or how many. However, back in the day, I did make some promo videos for some of my books….. Your Haunted Life 3 – The Black Eyed Kids This one managed 96 partial views….. the book sells well still today and can be found here. Moon Whispers Poetry doesn’t sell though I have moved a few books. This video managed a total of 36 partial views….. The poetry collection can be found here. Your Haunted Lives Revisited This video managed a total of 31 views….. and the book sold OK, but wasn’t the follow up I had hoped for. Even

For many years, I have published some of my books as audio books using ACX. I have never had any trouble with them and barely ever log on the website except to check sales from time to time. Apparently, I have sold almost 3000 audiobooks. In October, I got an email from ACX about ACX University – or something similar. They have a bunch of videos and blogs as resources for authors. That is interesting, I thought and went over to look. I found out they had reintroduced ‘promo codes’ whereby you can give away a copy of your book. They tell you how to do this and suggest you use them with reviewers or as rewards for readers. I decided I would experiment a bit and order promo codes

Looking for a fast-paced, thriller full of real magic, twists and turns, that will keep you reading beyond bedtime? Try The Last Observer and its’ prequel The Lord of the Elements…. Here is what ‘Vine Voice’ Bonnie Cehovet has to say about The Last Observer… I found this to be an incredible book, with a strong plot, well defined characters, and a very in-depth understanding of the material discussed (quantum physics, reality, the power of observation and more). It so reminded me of a Sherlock Holmes era story, with its twists and turns. I am sure that I will find the need to read this story again and again! And here is what Paul Hilton has to say about The Lord of the Elements… A great read for anyone
