Sword of Destiny
There is a day every author enjoys more then others and that day is when you finally hold in your hands the product of your long and loving labour…. the book! Yesterday was the day this happened for my friend and co-author of The Mystical Hexagram – Sue Vincent. I know that Sue had worked long and hard on her novel – Sword of Destiny – and the result is now available to share with everyone. Sue asked me to read and review the novel a few months ago and I was honored to do so. In Sword of Destiny, Sue has written a beautifully magical story set in her beloved Yorkshire. Each of the main characters in her story experiences personal growth through a sharing a thrilling and magical

Thoth has finally made Inner Journeys available on Kindle. It can be ordered at both the US and UK Amazon sites for immediate download. Inner Journey: Explorations of the Soul was my first foray into publishing my experiences. It is somewhat autobiographical in that it deals with why I had an interest in all things Occult and follows my trail to the point where I found the Servants of the Light. It then tracks my experiences of taking the SOL’s first course over 5-6 years and provides some insights into what I learned. In fact, it was Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki, the SOL’s Director of Studies, who suggested I write the book and who kindly provided an introduction too. Inner Journeys: Explorations of the Soul is the compelling account of one man’s

Scientists mostly fall into the materialist-reductionist camp quick to dispel or write off anything ‘new age’, mystical or magical. For these folk, consciousness is created by the brain somehow – exactly how is unknown however. As science is moved forward by the publishing and peer review process, we tend to see a punctuated evolution of ideas that are published, scrutinized and then replaced. Scientists mostly live in their own little world conversing with their peers in their ivory towers. Periodically, the contents of their world explode into ours as the media picks up on some published research that perhaps has some impact on the masses. I am a trained scientist so I think I have every right to make these observations. Of course, quantum physics has caused much consternation in

Here is a poem from my forthcoming book – Astral Messages. It will be published in the Fall after The Last Observer…. Silence is an innaccurate word Loud, it is full of strangeness Listen, for there you find infinity Otherworld’s sounds purred back to us Sight is certainly not to see Filled with images though it may be In fact, there are multitudes of otherworld’s paralleled stacked awaiting Open your senses Imagine and see Open your inner eye Imagine and be Fantasy is fantastical you see Truth fleeting hovers and flits there Grasp it by the toe and we’ll agree Reality is unlimited and imagined for free

Back in 2005 I published my first book. It was a labor of love too….. It is called Inner Journeys: Explorations of the Soul published by Thoth. It’s still selling and still available… It is an autobiographical account of my childhood and teens that were plagued with poltergeist and other paranormal phenomena that scared me to death. Later in life, having supressed my innate psychism, I found a real school of magic called The Servants of the Light based in the UK. The book follows my progress through the five-year first degree course of the school complete with entries from my magical diary and shows how becoming an occultist/magician finally solved a lot of personal issues. It covers topics like how to meditate, what is magic, why the occult is

Today, if you didn’t know it, is St. George’s day. The patron saint of England who slew the dragon. Maybe its a fitting date then for Roundfire to actually set a publication date for The Last Observer? Yep, I awoke this morning to discover that it will be published on the 30th August 2013. It has its own page too with all the key details. The print book will retail at 6.99GBP or 12.95USD and the eBook at 6.99GBP or 9.99USD. I also have an author’s page there. Gosh, wouldn’t it be nice if the book really did well! Here are several endorsements. My sincere thanks to Herbie, Alan, Gordon and Anthony… Dennis Wheatley brought up to date with a liberal spicing of speculation about the nature of reality, quantum

My novel now has a full cover including the following text on the back of the book… The Last Observer is a compelling tale of magic, alternative realities, murder and conflict. An ordinary man is abruptly dragged into the middle of a violent struggle between black and white magicians who both seek to use his extraordinary powers of imagination and observation. He soon learns that reality is not at all what it seems before being called upon to play a decisive role in determining whose reality will prevail. “Dennis Wheatley brought up to date with a liberal spicing of speculation about the nature of reality, quantum physics and parallel worlds. …. Highly recommended” – Herbie Brennan, New York Times best-selling author of Whisperers: The Secret History of the Spirit World.

The foreword for my first book – Inner Journeys: Explorations of the Soul (Thoth, 2005) was kindly written by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki. For those of you that have never seen it, here it is……. When one enters a school for spiritual training there will always be a time of apprehension. What will it be like, what will I be asked to do, will I be able to cope? In actual fact 90% of students find all their questions answered within a few weeks and settle down to their studies with varying degrees of enthusiasm punctuated by the odd moments of boredom. Studying the occult is like any other study, you have good and bad days, some parts are interesting and others make you want to throw your papers out of the

Please do consider liking this Facebook page – its my new book and first novel due out in the summer from Roundfire Books Here is some of what author Anthony Peake has to say about The Last Observer… Gary tells a classic tale of mystery and suspense but weaves within it a series of themes that would be at home in any modern physics text book. He masterfully uses his own extensive knowledge of modern magical rituals to create a tale that is both mysterious and intriguing. However the mystery soon gives way to something far more sinister and terrifying, a terror that explodes into a finale of epic proportions in which the fate of the universe itself is at stake. Once started this book cannot be put down and
