The Hexagram

I’m unsure how many people may have read the book The Mystical Hexagram by myself and Sue Vincent, but I am sure its less than 100. Even I will describe the book as a strange tome but packed with magical information. The book came about as a result of my utter obsession with this occult symbol. While I was finishing the Servants of the Light first degree course, I kept on seeing the symbol in meditation. The inner contact that I had developed kept leaving me with tantalizing scraps of wisdom about it too. I found myself doodling hexagrams and pondering the correspondences of it. I recall one weekend retreat led by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki in which I showed her this huge diagram of the symbol and everything I could possibly

A Pilgrimage

Today, I took some time and went to Opava. It is only a couple of hours from Brno, but I have delayed the trip too many times. I went in search of Franz Bardon.. Frantisek Bardon in Czech… and I found him. His grave is located in Opava Kylesovice.   Standing by his grave, I found the atmosphere calm, peaceful, but electric… The grave is very well kept as well. There was, for me, a definite presence…   Having paid my respects, I looked for his house located close by the cemetery and I believe this is it… based on Martin Faulks video...     I then went into town and hunted down his flat, place of birth and lab… This photo is of the street in which he had

13 Magicians

Whether you believe in real magic – spelt magick usually to differentiate from sleight of hand and trickery – or not, history is full of people who did and who were believed to be great magicians. Apollonius of Tyana, for example, who was born just a little before Jesus and spurned a life of luxury and wealth to follow in the footsteps of Pythagoras. Amongst other tales, Apollonius is said to have found the philosopher’s stone and gained eternal life. Then there is that character from the bible that we were all told was evil growing up – Simon Magus. Poor Simon! Simon does appear to have been capable of working miracles – actually not unlike those that Jesus did. But, he was seen as a threat to the early

An Adept Among Us

In the book The adept Magician by Marten Crawford, we meet through his own words a true adept. A man who followed Bardon’s teachings for 30 odd years and in passing tells us that he can shoot flames from his stomach and water to put out the flames as well change the weather, stop time, split himself in two and many more bizarre things. When you read the words of the man, you believe him. His words are the words of someone who seems to know and who sees little importance in such abilities anyway. Mr. Crawford writes a very straightforward and well thought through introduction to his interactions with the man he called the Adept Magician. For those who have read any Franz Bardon, some of it will be

The Adept Magician

I wonder if any of you have ever met a real magician? Someone capable of making physical magic via their will? Czech magician, Franz Bardon, was one person reputed to have developed such powers and I can recommend the autobiographical account of his life which was written by one of his close associates after his death here in Brno and admittedly goes a bit overboard in its claims. Nonetheless, he could make real magic of that I have no doubts. Despite hanging in magical circles for close to a decade or so, I have never seen or met anyone capable of performing that kind of magic. I have seen and participated in rituals that have had real power and had real results but I have never seen someone make it rain

Just words?

There is the saying ‘Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me’. It’s wrong. I heard a variation on the theme just recently where I was told that someone thought that words don’t have consequences, only actions. That’s wrong too. Words are sounds. Sounds are vibrations. Sounds are waves that when they hit the eardrum of a conscious observer turn into sound and are interpreted by the brain. Sounds are a part of the fabric of creation. Not for nothing does the Bible say ‘In the beginning was the Word’ or insinuate that the first words spoken were “Let there be light.’ Kabbalah, the form of it practiced by people like Franz Bardon anyway, is the use of sacred sounds to create, to make magic.

The Mirage of Duality – I Am A Balance Worker

An article by Cameron Day appears to have caught the esoteric world on fire. Titled “Why I Am No Longer A Lightworker“, this article is well worthy of a read. His thesis basically is that both the dark side and the light side are actually the dark side and that this dualism was created by the evil demiurge to sustain itself through our energy. “What matters most to the demiurge is that we worship it or one of its agents, regardless if they are on the light team or the dark team,” he states. It isn’t the distaste for the dark side that is creating the discussion but his view that the ‘light’ is a false light and that any channeled higher entities and so forth are also following and

What if I were a Wizard….

I was thinking today (dangerous activity in of itself), what would it be like to be a wizard. Yes, a wizard. Like Gandalf except maybe not so hairy! Would I use my power wisely? Would using my power for good be actually good? And, more importantly, what would I do to those BMW drivers that push me out the way lights flashing aggressively in my mirror? If you had that kind of power and you intervened for good – you know, cured someone of a terminal disease or something – would that actually be good? What would happen to the karma? I recall reading something by Franz Bardon about this. He did some healing and he had to deal with the karma issue too. It would seem that is was

Soul for Sale?

What do Jimmy Saville and Lance Armstrong have in common? They both fooled everyone for quite a considerable time and both were considered heros. I feel a deep sense of disappointment and outrage regarding the pair of them and others like them. They are not alone. Without perhaps subscribing to what I consider to be rather silly conspiracy theories, I have long suspected that many successful people have ‘sold their souls’. No, I am not saying that they wrote some contract with Satan or Elizabeth Hurley! I am simply saying that at some point either their quest for fame led them to do things that otherwise they may not have done in order to succeed or perhaps, having succeeded their egos got so engorged with fame, they decided they could

The Trained Mind

I just wasted an hour of my life on Youtube. I put in the term “UFO” and then clicked one video after another usually quitting the video just a few minutes – or less – into it. The internet is an amazing thing. It truly does allow anyone to propose theories, viewpoints and even their own particular mania. It is also endlessly confusing. The problem with the internet is simply this… usually there is little or no way to determine the expertise (and mental sanity) of the poster and so you have no idea whatsoever about the reliability of the post unless you happen to be reading material upon which you are an expert. Let me give a few examples. It wasn’t long in my video hopping before I stumbled
