An Air of Expectancy (Substack post)

Just recently I have been filled with an expectancy as if I am waiting for something to happen. I know I am not the only one for I have see others make similar remarks. Something is in the air! Many I suppose would associate this with the effects of the coming eclipse and all of the strange bruh hah around that. Some might rightly point of the astrology of this month and many have, You might also just point to the general strangeness of the world we live in and how that strangeness has accelerated in recent months. For me, I work with Earth energies and it has been obvious to me that something is building there. The lines are wider, the vortices more powerful and the amount of solar

Feeling the Energies (Published on Substack)

The Earth is experiencing an interesting time. Not only is the magnetic field weakening as we go through a cycle allowing more energy and particles into the planet but the Earth is going through a part of space that has less ability to filter out some of these energies as well. To add to that, the Sun is going through a particularly active period as well. The long and the short of it is that we are being inundated with incredible energies and you can see this in terms of the unprecedented light show that is the Aurora Borealis as far south as England, increased volcanic and seismic activity and a ramped up Schumann resonance. I can also observe the effect of this energy on the earth energy lines that

Felling Sheepish

For years, I have churned out books, music, poetry, photography, thoughts, podcasts, videos and goodness knows what. I’m not sure I ever built much of an audience or following except maybe around my paranormal books. To be honest it never used to bother me that much – I’m an addicted creator – an artist who cannot help himself. I always thought I would make a few bob off of the back of the content I produced and maybe one day, I could ease up a bit and live off of my creativity and hobbies. Unfortunately, I like many others never saw the shift to free stuff. People simply expect stuff for free now… or pretty much close to free. And then there is Amazon that on the one hand opened

Taking on Perun

Encouraged by my current reading of Alan Richardson’s latest book – Dark Magery – I have been exploring the God form. It’s not something I have ever attempted much in the past but for the last few days, I have been knocking on Perun’s door. Perun is the slavic God of thunder and one of the most important in the pantheon. I must say, at first, I got nothing much at all and was rather disappointed but then last night, I had some very strange dreams….. and today in short session where I took on the form of Perun in my imagination, some very strange thoughts. What I sensed was that Perun and the slavic culture of that time was really quite alien compered to now. For them, I got

A Little Bowie in There?

I recently read a review of my 2019 album – The Anatomy of Love. It wasn’t the first time someone mentioned Bowie in a passing reference to my music but I have to say, it is a huge honor to ever be likened in any way at all to David Bowie – Rock God. Here is the review… The Anatomy of Love by G. Michael Vasey is a creative project by the Czech singer-songwriter with an ear for catchy melodies and European influences. Enjoyable tracks such as “Girl On The Phone” and “Free” demonstrate G. Michael Vasey’s unique talent and attention to detail through each song. Explosive guitar riffs and clean production values are prevalent through the entirety of The Anatomy of Love to express emotion and personality all its own. Fans of mod

I Want Just the News

In my day job, I have to look at the news every day and track it. I’m an analyst and trends and events can have huge impacts on my client’s businesses. So, everyday, I read the news and select a few stories to repost on the news section of our website/portal. A few years ago, finding news was relatively easy. CNN, BBC, Bloomberg – all these outlets published the news. Then, slowly but inexorably, I started to see that news was increasingly becoming opinion – often politically-biased opinion to boot. Around that time, the idea of ‘false news’ started to get talked about increasingly. I now think ‘false news’ is opinion masquerading as news. Of course, once the charge of false news was levelled people become keen to defend their

The Magical world of G. Michael Vasey – New Podcast Series!

In the very near future, I will be launching an all new podcast series called The Magical world of G. Michael Vasey (after this site basically!). In the podcasts, I will be focused on thoughts, views and evidence for the nature of reality. As both a PhD scientist and a trained Magician, I hope to bring some unique perspectives…..   The podcast will be an eclectic mix of things including; True stories of the paranormal that I have collected over the years – read by myself, Interviews with others in the field, A poem or two about my own visions and thoughts about reality, Perhaps an occasional guest read of true paranormal stories by someone like Darren Marlar of Weird Darkness fame using material from my audiobooks, Readings from my

Science Isn’t the Answer…

As I have said on many occasions in articles posted on my own blog and even here, my PdH studies were blessed by being guided by Prof. MJ Russell who went on to become a NASA researcher and only recently retired. He was head of the Department of Applied Geology for a period while I was doing my research. He had a real knack for creating hypotheses and creating models or concepts about how his hypothesis could be shown to be true or false. He often published short articles in Nature that would literally below your mind. He taught me how to do objective science – and may others too. He taught me how to create hypotheses and then use them to make testable predictions. That to float these hypotheses

Where Are the Reviewers?

I have been working my back catalog of books recently – changing covers and reworking descriptions and so on. It has had some positive results and sales are up! However, in doing this, it struck me – where are the reviews? It seems very few people review my books on Amazon and yet this is soooo important for authors. Rather than build an army of loyal fans like Steph Young, for example, who gets upwards of 70 reviews on her books and has a vibrant FB page despite the fact she posts nothing at all, all I seem to attract for my efforts is the odd mean 1-star review filled with falsities about poor editing and so on (I assume this is a competitor as it always pretty much the
